Teachers Training Courses

Teaching yoga is a way of development through the process of helping others grow and develop better health, psychological well-being and awareness. To teach yoga is to participate in the flow of conscious evolution, to transcend your habits and limitations, become happier, more self-confident and creative.

There are 4 different types of courses. The General Certificate course is for teaching asanas, pranayama, yoga nidra, meditation and shtkarmas. The Advanced Certificate is for teaching advanced techniques such as kriya yoga, tattwa shuddhi, prana vidya. The Therapy Certificate teaches the various yoga techniques for use in therapy to assist the healing process. The Special Certificate is for particular teaching courses where yoga is related to special needs within the community such as women, business people, prisoners, children and the disabled.

Teachers training courses are open to all people - regardless of educational status - who would like to teach the basic practices of yoga to friends, relatives or associates. The courses are residential and impart the scientific aspects of yoga, as well as practical and theoretical training in all yoga techniques devised by Paramahamsa Satyananda and Paramahamsa Niranjanananda.

Yoga Therapy Courses and Seminars

Yoga is the key to sound health, vitality and a clear mind. It enables you to restore the harmonious balance of body, mind and emotions, which creates total health and renewed energy.

Whether you are suffering from physiological or psychosomatic problems, or are interested in maintaining and perfecting a state of good health, the practices of yoga, combined with a yogic lifestyle and diet will bring definite and perhaps, surprising benefits. In these seminars there are various sections on techniques for good health and well-being, diet, nutrition, the role of vitamins and methods of purification.

Therapy courses for such disorders such as depression, asthma, cardiac diseases, respiratory problems, urino-genital disorders, diabetes, hypertension and stress are also conducted.

Specialists are invited to present the current medical views. Individual therapy classes are also given by arrangement. Yoga therapy has been found to be effective even with chronic or incurable diseases. It is essential that - before undertaking yoga therapy - a full medical examination be performed by a qualified practitioner to diagnose the exact condition and symptoms, and whether yogic or medical therapy should be the first approach.
